Frequently asked questions about Seda Pura
Clear answers for shoppers, retailers and brands: who we are, what is in our products, how natural cosmetics are labelled and how wholesale, private label and shipping work.

Seda Pura is the natural cosmetics brand of Andalucia Premium SL in Málaga, Spain, made with partner manufacturers.
We currently supply businesses; prices, minimum quantities and lead times are stated in a written offer.
We describe products by their ingredients and documents and do not claim seals or certificates they do not hold.
Brand and company
Who is behind Seda Pura, where we are based and how to reach us.
What is Seda Pura?
Seda Pura is a natural cosmetics brand from Andalusia. It offers face and body care, hair care and olive oil soap built around Mediterranean botanicals. You can read more on our About page.
Which company owns the Seda Pura brand?
Seda Pura belongs to Andalucia Premium SL, an import and export company based in Málaga, Spain. The company’s full details are listed in the legal notice.
Is Seda Pura a Spanish skincare brand?
Yes. The brand is run from Málaga and the products are developed with manufacturers in Spain. The country of origin is stated on each label and in the product documents.
Does Seda Pura have its own factory?
No. We work with partner manufacturers in Andalusia and other parts of Spain and coordinate formulas, packaging and documents with them. This lets us offer both ready-made products and private label projects.
What does the name Seda Pura mean?
‘Seda pura’ is Spanish for ‘pure silk’. Silk stands for gentle textures, ‘pura’ for short, understandable ingredient lists and statements that can be traced back to documents.
Where can I buy Seda Pura products today?
At the moment we supply retailers, online shops, hotels and spas, so the products are available through these businesses. A shop for consumers is planned, and the date will be announced on this website.
How do I get in touch with Seda Pura?
Use our contact form and tell us briefly who you are and what you are looking for. We reply in English, Spanish or German.
How do you say skincare in Spanish?
“Cuidado de la piel”, and natural cosmetics is “cosmética natural”. Seda Pura’s site is available in English, Spanish and German.
Is Spanish skincare good?
The country of origin alone does not decide quality. Look at the INCI list, the stated use, the manufacturer and the Responsible Person on the label. What Spain does offer is a long tradition of olive oil and Mediterranean botanicals.
Products, formats and scents
What the Seda Pura range includes and which formats are possible.
Which products are in the Seda Pura range?
The range covers face cream, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, olive oil soap and gift sets. An overview is on the collection page.
Is the range already complete?
The range is still in development. The categories are set, while individual formulas, sizes and scents are being finalised with our manufacturers. Current product details are available on request.
What scents do Seda Pura products have?
The scent profiles draw on Andalusian notes such as orange blossom, fig and rosemary. Each product’s fragrance is listed as ‘parfum’ in the ingredient list, together with any fragrance allergens that must be declared under EU rules.
Are fragrance-free versions available?
For private label and larger wholesale projects, a fragrance-free or lightly scented version can be discussed with the manufacturer. Whether it is possible depends on the product and is confirmed in the offer.
Which sizes and packaging formats are possible?
Retail sizes, smaller sizes for hotels and travel, and larger refill formats can be discussed per product. Available packaging depends on the manufacturer and is listed in the offer.
Are the products suitable for hotels and spas?
Yes, hotels and spas are one of our main customer groups, for guest rooms, treatments or a boutique. Shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and soap are the usual starting point; see our wholesale page.
Does olive oil soap dry out the skin?
It can, depending on your skin type and water hardness, because soap is alkaline. Many people find it fine for body and hands, especially with a lotion afterwards. Our olive oil soap guide explains the difference between soap, syndet and pH.
Ingredients and INCI
Which botanicals we use and how to read an ingredient list.
Which botanical ingredients does Seda Pura use?
What is an INCI list?
INCI stands for International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients, the standard naming system used on cosmetic labels in the EU. Our guide to reading INCI lists explains the most common names.
Why are ingredients listed in a particular order?
EU law requires ingredients above 1 % to be listed in descending order of weight. Ingredients at 1 % or less may follow in any order, so the position of a botanical near the end says little about its exact amount.
Why does olive oil appear as ‘Olea Europaea Fruit Oil’?
That is the INCI name of olive oil, based on the Latin plant name. Our guide to olive oil in skincare explains its uses and related ingredients such as squalane.
Do the products contain nut oils such as almond oil?
Some products may contain sweet almond oil, listed as ‘Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil’. If you have a nut allergy, check the INCI list of each product and ask your doctor if you are unsure.
Where do the plant ingredients come from?
The raw materials are sourced by our manufacturers, and their origin is documented in the product files. Our guide to Andalusian botanicals describes the plants and their traditional use.
Is olive oil comedogenic – does it clog pores?
In comedogenicity lists, olive oil is often rated as moderate, but these ratings come mainly from older tests on the pure oil and say little about a finished product. Whether a cream or soap with olive oil suits your skin depends on the whole formula and your skin type. If you are prone to blemishes, test a new product on a small area first.
Recognising natural cosmetics
What ‘natural’ means on a label, what ISO 16128 is and how seals work.
Is there a legal definition of natural cosmetics?
No. EU cosmetics law does not define ‘natural’, so claims must instead meet the general criteria for cosmetic claims. Our guide to natural cosmetics explains how to assess such products.
What is ISO 16128?
ISO 16128 is an international guideline for calculating the natural and organic origin content of cosmetic ingredients and products. It is a calculation method, not a seal, and does not set a minimum percentage for calling a product natural.
What are COSMOS and NATRUE?
COSMOS and NATRUE are private standards for natural and organic cosmetics. A product may only carry their seal after an independent inspection body has approved it; we only mention a seal on a product that actually holds it.
How can I recognise natural cosmetics on the label?
Look at the INCI list, check whether a stated natural origin percentage refers to ISO 16128, and see whether a seal from a known standard appears. A short list of recognisable plant oils and extracts is a helpful sign, but not proof on its own.
Are ‘free from’ claims allowed on cosmetics?
Only within limits. Under Regulation (EU) No 655/2013, claims must be truthful, supported and fair, and ‘free from’ claims must not denigrate legally permitted ingredients. More on this in our guide to EU cosmetics rules.
Are natural cosmetics automatically gentler on sensitive skin?
Not necessarily. Plant ingredients and essential oils can also cause reactions in some people. If you have sensitive skin or a skin condition, check the ingredient list and ask a doctor or dermatologist for advice.
Use and skincare routine
General tips for using natural skincare; the directions on each label always take priority.
How do I build a simple natural skincare routine?
A simple routine has three steps: cleanse gently, apply a cream or lotion that suits your skin, and use a separate sun protection product during the day. Our guide to a natural skincare routine goes through each step.
Can I use olive oil soap on my face?
Many people use a mild olive oil soap for face and body, but how it feels depends on your skin type. Rinse well and follow with a cream; our guide to olive oil soap explains what to look for.
Should I apply face cream in the morning or in the evening?
That depends on the product, so follow the directions on the label. Many people use a light cream in the morning and a richer one in the evening; see our face cream page.
How long does natural skincare keep after opening?
Look for the open jar symbol with a number such as ‘12M’: it shows how many months the product can be used after opening. Products that keep for 30 months or less carry a ‘best before’ date instead.
How should I store natural cosmetics?
Keep them closed, in a cool place and away from direct sunlight. Use clean hands or a spatula for jars, and do not use a product whose smell or texture has clearly changed.
Should I test a new product on a small area of skin first?
Trying a new product on a small area, such as the inner forearm, is a sensible precaution. If redness or itching occurs, stop using it; with existing skin conditions, ask a doctor first.
Are the products suitable during pregnancy?
We cannot give a general assurance, as this depends on the individual product and your personal situation. Check the INCI list on the label, especially for fragrances and essential oils, and ask your doctor or midwife if you are unsure. On request we send you the full ingredient list of each product.
Why does soap go soft or ‘sweat’?
Soap contains glycerin, which draws moisture from the air, so droplets can form on its surface in a humid bathroom. Soap that sits in water also softens. Keep it on a draining soap dish in a dry, airy place; the droplets are harmless and can simply be wiped off.
Wholesale and distribution
How retailers, hotels and distributors buy Seda Pura in trade quantities.
Are you a natural skincare wholesale supplier in Spain?
Yes. We supply natural skincare from Andalusia in trade quantities to businesses across the EU and beyond. Details are on our wholesale page and in our buyer’s guide to natural cosmetics wholesale.
Who can buy Seda Pura wholesale?
Retailers, concept stores, online shops, gift shops, pharmacies, hotels and spas. We only sell to businesses at the moment, so please include your company details in your enquiry.
How do I request wholesale samples?
Send a short enquiry through our contact form with your business, sales channel and the products you are interested in. Samples are the first step before any offer.
What are the steps from enquiry to first delivery?
Enquiry, samples, product documents, written offer, order confirmation, production or picking, and delivery. Our guide to the wholesale ordering process explains each step.
Where can I find your wholesale price list?
We do not publish a general price list, because prices depend on product, packaging, quantity and destination. You receive prices, minimum quantities and lead times in a written offer.
Which documents does a retailer receive?
Before ordering you receive the INCI list, label information and the details of the Responsible Person. The safety report and product information file remain with the Responsible Person, as set out in our guide to EU cosmetics regulation.
How can I become a Seda Pura distributor?
Tell us which country and sales channels you cover and how you would market the range. Our guide to becoming a distributor lists what we discuss before agreeing exclusivity or territories.
Private label
How a skincare line under your own brand is created and what drives the cost.
How does private label skincare work?
A manufacturer produces the products, and they are sold under your brand. We coordinate formula, packaging, label and documents with our partners; an overview is on our private label page.
What are the steps of a private label project?
Briefing, choice or adaptation of a formula, samples, packaging and label design, safety assessment and notification, then production. Our private label guide explains the process and typical decisions.
Who is the Responsible Person for a private label product?
Every cosmetic product sold in the EU needs a Responsible Person established in the EU, named on the label. In private label projects this can be the brand owner or a person appointed in writing, and it is agreed at the start.
What makes up the cost of private label cosmetics?
The main components are formula and raw materials, packaging and printing, the safety assessment, notification and the quantity ordered. All of them are listed separately in the written offer.
Can I use an existing formula or develop my own?
Both are possible, depending on the manufacturer. An existing formula is usually the quicker route; a new formula needs more development time and new safety documents.
What do I need to prepare for a private label briefing?
Your brand name, target group, desired products and sizes, design ideas, intended sales channels and an idea of quantities. Checking your trademark rights is your responsibility as brand owner.
What is the minimum order quantity for private label cosmetics?
There is no single minimum: it depends on the formula, the packaging and the batch size of the manufacturer. Stock packaging and an existing formula usually allow a smaller first run, and the exact quantity is stated in the offer.
Shipping and delivery
Deliveries within the EU and abroad, delivery terms and the planned consumer shop.
Do you ship natural cosmetics across the EU?
Yes. Within the EU single market there are no customs duties, and B2B deliveries to companies with a valid VAT number are usually invoiced without Spanish VAT. Delivery terms are confirmed in the offer.
Do you ship outside the EU?
Deliveries to non-EU countries can be arranged. Many markets have their own rules for cosmetics, such as a local Responsible Person or registration, so requirements are checked per destination; see our guide to cosmetics regulation.
Which Incoterms do you use?
The Incoterm is agreed in each offer, for example EXW, FCA, DAP or DDP under the ICC Incoterms 2020 rules. It defines who organises transport, who bears the risk and who pays duties.
Which documents come with a shipment?
Each delivery comes with an invoice and a delivery note; exports outside the EU also need customs documents. Product documents such as INCI lists are provided before the order, as described in our ordering guide.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on whether the product is in stock or produced to order, and on the destination. The expected lead time is stated in the written offer.
Will there be an online shop for consumers?
Yes, a shop for consumers is planned. Until it opens, the Seda Pura homepage and our journal are the best places to follow the brand.
